Does DVC still offer the Gold Annual Pass to Members and are prices going up again at the end of this year? If I purchase a Gold Pass now for a trip in March , does the pass still start on the first day of use? Thank You! Connie

Hi, Connie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for bringing us another great question! Disney Vacation Club does currently offer an Annual Pass option at a great discount for members. The Gold Annual Pass does have some blockout days, such as major holidays, but as long as you are not planning to visit Walt Disney World Resort during those timeframes, then this pass may be a practically perfect option for you!

The Gold Annual Pass for Disney Vacation Club members can be purchased through Member Services or on the Walt Disney World Resort website once you are logged into the My Disney Experience account associated with your Disney Vacation Club membership. The price of this Annual Pass and all Disney Theme Park Tickets are subject to change at any time. There was a recent modification of prices in mid-June 2019. Only Madame Leota knows for sure if they plan to change the prices again this year. I tried to ask her last night while at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party if her crystal ball could provide such information, but she said the future was unclear. Did you know that Disney Vacation Club members can also purchase this and other select Special Event tickets at a discount? Be sure to check your Member Services page for all the details while planning your trips this coming year!

While the future of ticket pricing may be unclear, one thing I do know is that is always a great time to purchase your Annual Pass. Purchasing sooner, rather than later, helps you lock in a price on that ticket in case the price does increase before its use. The Annual Pass will not be activated until its first use, which also sets its expiration date. You are welcome to go ahead and purchase it now and wait to activate it until you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. As soon as you use it, then its expiration date will be set at one year from that day.

Thanks again for stopping by with your question and please let us know if you have any others!
