Hi Michelle, welcome home and welcome back to planDisney! I’m an out of state
Disney Sorcerer Passholder and I absolutely love it! This is one of my favorite perks of being a Disney Vacation Club member. We rarely visit the theme parks during the
blackout days for this Annual Pass, so for me it’s like having an Incredi-Pass at a discounted rate! Now let’s talk about booking
Lightning Lane Passes for your upcoming trip!
When booking Lightning Lane Passes for attractions at Walt Disney World, DVC members and Annual Passholders do not get any special privileges. However, if you’ll be staying at a Disney Resort hotel (which includes our DVC Resorts) and other select hotels, you’ll be able to purchase and reserve Lightning Lane Passes
7 days in advance of your stay. What’s even better is that you’ll be able to book Lightning Lane Passes for your entire stay (up to 14 days)! So, I recommend prioritizing Lightning Lane Passes for the last day of your stay and working backwards from there to maximize availability of attraction and arrival times.
Here's a bonus tip! Don't forget that as a guest of a DVC Resort, you'll also have access to
extended evening theme park hours. This perk is a great way to minimize wait times and free up Lightning Lane Pass selections for other attractions. For example, during my visit to Magic Kingdom last week, we waited until extended evening hours to ride
Tron Lightcycle Run and purchased a Lightning Lane Single Pass for
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train instead.
Michelle, I hope this information is helpful for you and wishing you all the pixie dust in securing Lightning Lane Passes for your upcoming trip! If you have any further questions on getting the most out of your DVC membership, feel free to to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!
Your pal,
Sean
