Hi Shawna, and welcome back to planDisney! As a fellow Disney Vacation Club member, I’m always looking for new experiences at Disney World. And the
dockside fishing at
Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and
Fort Wilderness sounds like a lot of fun! So, let’s chat about transportation so you’re all set for tomorrow.
Using
complimentary Disney transportation would be the safest option, but I do frequently use ride share services to go between Disney resorts, especially when I’m short on time. However, sometimes I’ve been asked to provide my name (or MagicBand) to show that I’m staying at that resort or have a dining reservation to enter in a ride share vehicle. So you may want to have a backup plan in mind if you decide to go that route, like rerouting to Disney Springs and taking the
boat to Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.
Fort Wilderness and Port Orleans Resort - Riverside are truly two of the most relaxing spots at Disney World! If you go to Fort Wilderness, be sure to stop by
Tri-Circle-D Ranch to visit the horses (you might recognize some of them from the Main Street Vehicles in Magic Kingdom!). And whenever I’m at Port Orleans Resort, walking over to
French Quarter for the beignets at
Scat Cat's Club is always a must!
Since you’re a Disney Vacation Club Member, don’t forget to check out the two newest member spots, if you haven’t already. There’s the
McKim’s Mile House lounge in Magic Kingdom and the
Welcome Home Center in Disney Springs. They’re great for getting out of the heat and enjoying light refreshments.
I hope you have a magical time fishing tomorrow and throw the perfect cast! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
