Welcome aboard, Brittney!
A three night adventure aboard the
Disney Dream is the perfect way to experience a small taste of what it's like to sail with
Disney Cruise Line. For my family, three nights is not enough now that we know how magical a Disney cruise vacation always is. So, I'm sure this will be the first of more to come for your family too!
I'm assuming that you're on the Disney Dream's three night
Bahamian cruise out of Port Canaveral that has one port of call at
Castaway Cay. That's my favorite port by the way. You're in for so much magic! This particular itinerary, being a round trip cruise beginning and ending in the same U.S. port, does not require guests to have passports. However, it is a really good idea to get them just in case. I have always had passports for my family, including the kids for our cruises just in case we run into an unexpected emergency onboard or in a foreign port of call. We could then more easily fly home. However, that being said, Disney doesn't require passports for these round trip from the U.S. itineraries, but you will need certain other documents to cruise including a valid government issued I.D. (like driver's license) for those over 16, as well as a state-issued (not hospital-issued) birth certificate. Guests under 16 only need that state-issued birth certificate when traveling with their own parents. Please read all of the details of what is required on the
Passport and Travel Documentation information page of Disney Cruise Line's website so you are sure that you've got exactly what you need for your particular situation, Brittney.
Have fun planning this adventure, and please sail by again to ask more questions. We're happy to help!
