Hello. DVC members since 1992. Long-story-short, going for a few days but not doing parks because of recent mobility issues with two people in a 3 person party. Does anyone know if you can hear the Candlelight from outside the back entrance to Epcot?

    Welcome Home!

With so much to see and do outside the theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort, we have actually enjoyed our theme park free days so much that we have also tried entire vacations without strolling through the gates. I think you are really going to love relaxing by the incredible pools, maybe a visit to a spa or health club for a massage, and certainly all of the delicious dining options offered all around the property.

Candlelight Processional is performed in the American Gardens Theater, so I do believe that this would be a little too far to hear outside the International Gateway. Perhaps if the conditions were just right you could maybe hear elements, but I wouldn't expect to hear the narration at all, certainly.

I'm sure you have already considered this as a long-time Disney Vacation Club Member, but if your heart is set on experiencing the show this year, you might consider renting an ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle) to "scoot" around the theme parks and your mobility issues. My parents each use one during our visits and we have found that it really helps everyone enjoy the day. With third-party rental services delivering right to Bell Services on the day of your arrival and picking up after your check-out, renting is so simple! Also, Disney Vacation Club Members are eligible for 10% discount from Buena Vista Scooters. Just be sure to mention your Membership when you reserve.

    Wishing you many magical memories,
