We are DVC members at Cooper Creek and we will have friends coming on a trip with us and staying at AOA. If they are our guests, can they join us at the pool at copper Creek? How strict is the pool hopping policy/ does it apply to DVC guests?

Hi, Rasheeda! I love it when friends get together for a trip to Walt Disney World. And you've both chosen pretty awesome resorts.

There are definitely perks to being Disney Vacation Club members. One of the perks is the Complimentary Alternative Pool Use - or pool hopping. DVC members that are staying using their DVC membership points at a Disney Vacation Club resort have the opportunity to hop over to some of the pools at other Walt Disney World resort hotels. There are blockout dates, and the opportunity is subject to capacity limits, and there are some resort pools that are excluded from this benefit. The pool at Disney's Art of Animation Resort is excluded from pool hopping.

Guests at other Walt Disney World resorts may use the pool at their resort, but pool hopping is not permitted for resort guests. The life guards or other cast members may ask to scan your MagicBand to determine whether or not you are a guest at a resort prior to you using the pool at that resort. I will say that how strict the policy is tends to vary, but you may need your MagicBand to access the pool area at some resorts. Others may give you additional identification as a resort guest to use the pool at that resort.

For all together water fun, check out one of the Disney water parks. Depending on the type of theme park ticket you've purchased, they may even be included!

    Have a magical vacation!
