Hey there, Art! Thanks for coming to us with your
Disney Vacation Club question.
There are quite a few
DVC Member Benefits, and one of them is
Complimentary Alternative Pool Use - better known by its more familiar name - Pool Hopping. In many instances, DVC members who are staying at a
Disney Vacation Club Resort using membership points are eligible to pool hop to other DVC resorts to use their pools.
As with all the greatest things in life, there's always a list of rules you want to make sure you follow. In the case of pool hopping, there are black out dates when pool hopping is not allowed. Fortunately, that doesn't apply during your vacation. Cast Members also reserve the right to turn guests from other resorts away if the pool is at or near capacity. This tends to happen during busier times of the year, but you may want to check with the front desk of the resort you want to hop to before you hop on over there. The other big rule is that some pools are specifically excluded from hopping. Those pools include Bay Cove Pool at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort and The Lava Pool and leisure pool at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. You can, however, hop on over to
the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to enjoy a little pool side fun in the sun.
Enjoy every minute of your upcoming vacation, Art! I hope you and your guests have a magical vacation.
