Hi Marie!
Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Vacation Club Moms here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m sorry I did not see the particular post you are speaking off, but it must have been interesting since you are not the only Member to ask this question this week! Vacation Points can only be used to book your accommodations, and cannot be used to pay for meals or any other services. I never seem to have any extra vacation points left anyway!
The one idea that came to my mind was that perhaps this person was referring to points with the
Disney Rewards Visa Card from Chase. We use this card, and we accumulate Reward Points that can then be put on a Disney Rewards Card to be used to pay for meals, snacks, souvenirs and many other things at Disney Parks, resorts and even The Disney Store. If you are the main cardholder in the family, they can even stamp "Disney Vacation Club" under your name on your actual credit card!
I recommend checking the Membership Magic tab on
DVCMember.com to view all the latest and greatest perks and discounts available to Members. There are many places that do offer discounts on lunch, dinner and snacks to keep you full and happy!
Wishing you Membership Magic!
