I am a DVC member and I have family members staying there this weekend but I will not be with them. Their reservation is with my member points. Will they still be entitled to free parking at the resort?

    Hi Virginia!

Welcome Home and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! The Independence Day holiday is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. Your family members will be happy to hear that Disney Vacation Club stays booked using Vacation Points receive complimentary parking at the resort. While this could change in the future, currently it is associated with the reservation, rather than the Member directly, so your family should be able to enjoy this benefit!

There are many events to help Guests celebrate their American spirit this Independence Day at Walt Disney World. Enjoy the tradition of fireworks set to patriotic favorites at the Magic Kingdom with “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” This special show is known for fireworks that encircle the Magic Kingdom and extend out over the Seven Seas Lagoon. Over at Epcot, “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” has a stirring finale, “The Heartbeat of Freedom” available only on July 4th. Since this beloved show will be retiring at the end of September, this year will be the final performance of this special finale. My father has always loved fireworks and would take us to see a local show every year. Vacationing with both my children and my parents and being able to watch the show together at Magic Kingdom last summer was extra special, I highly recommend it!

I hope your family has a wonderful trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, Virginia!
