Welcome to planDisney, Vincent, and Welcome Home!
One of the most fantastic features of a
Disney Vacation Club Membership is flexibility. As DVC Members, we can use our Vacation Points with options such as
Adventures By Disney,
Interval International, and even
Disney Cruise Line. Let's take a look at the cancellation policy for Disney Cruise Line.
In order to use Vacation Points to book a Disney Cruise Line sailing, they must be converted into
Reservation Points. Once these Points are transferred, they cannot be changed back into Vacation Points, and they can no longer be used to book Disney Vacation Club Resorts. The cancellation policy for Disney Cruise Line will vary based on how many days in advance the Cruise is canceled, as well as the stateroom category. The majority of stateroom categories will receive a full return for Reservation Points if canceled more than 90 days in advance. I recommend reviewing these
policies for your specific date and stateroom type. I was able to confirm with a Cast Member that once canceled these Reservation Points will actually not go into a Holding Account but will be returned to their Use Year. They will expire at the end of the Use Year and cannot be banked. They can be used as regular Reservation Points for
The Disney Collection or through the hotel exchange. I hope this helps you make a decision about your sailing!
Thank you for visiting planDisney. We are here for all your Disney Vacation Club adventures.
Enjoy making magical memories!
