I am a DVC member checking in at Grand Floridian Villa, will the hotel store my food cooler until my room is ready?

    Hello Zenon,

Welcome to planDisney! It looks like your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort is just around the corner; the countdown is on! Your stay coincides with the Fall season arriving at Magic Kingdom Park, depending on your schedule, you might even see the park decked out in pumpkins and other decorations. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party dates begin August 9 and run through October 31, 2004 - it’s spooky season!

Zenon, I spoke with Member Services about your question and they confirmed that yes, Bell Services will hold your food cooler for you until your room is ready. Be sure to have your luggage and items labelled just to be on the safe side and keep anything you might need for the day with you. Did you know that you’re considered a resort Guest the entire arrival day? You can start enjoying the resort’s amenities the moment you arrive on check-in day even if your room is not ready. You can throw on a swimsuit and head to Beach pool to cool off from the summer heat if you like or perhaps head to Arcadia Games and play the latest and greatest family-friendly video games.

In the evening, Guests of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa have a very special viewing area of Magic Kingdom Park’s nighttime spectaculars whether it is Happily Ever After or Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular on the nights of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The music is piped in so Guests can feel like they are a part of the experience only with a different view than the one inside Magic Kingdom Park. If you stick around like my family likes to, you can even catch the Electrical Water Pageant and see the green sea monster leading the twinkling musical pageant as it makes its way around Seven Seas Lagoon.

Zenon, I hope this information helps with your vacation planning. I wish you a wonderful trip to Walt Disney World Resort, enjoy making magical memories! If you have any other DVC or vacation planning questions, please revisit us at planDisney. We are happy to help!

    Welcome Home,
