Our DVC home resort is Rivera. We haven’t been able to stay there yet and are staying at Copper Creek in August. Are we able to explore and use the pool at Rivera even though we are not staying there this trip?

Welcome Home, Melissa and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Disney’s Riviera Resort is gorgeous, with beautiful porticos, archways, and unique artwork found throughout the resort. I love that you can stroll along the promenade, splash around in the beautiful pool, play games on the lawn area, and enjoy some truly delicious European inspired cuisine. Plus you have the convenience of the Disney Skyliner for transportation, allowing you to be whisked away on an aerial gondola while you enjoy breathtaking views on your way to some fun in the parks. Disney’s Riviera Resort is also home to my favorite Character Breakfast, Breakfast á la Art with Mickey and Friends at Topolino’s Terrace. You made an excellent selection by choosing Disney’s Riviera Resort as your home resort and I hope you get to experience a stay there soon!

A stay in Disney’s Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is pretty spectacular too, with a beautiful, rustic feel, nestled amongst the trees and only a quick boat ride from Magic Kingdom Park. You have two excellent pools to choose from during your stay here: Copper Creek Springs Pool, equipped with a 67-foot waterslide and children’s aquatic play area or Boulder Ridge Cove Pool, a zero-depth entry pool perfect for basking in the sun.

You are welcome to visit Disney’s Riviera Resort to explore and dine in the restaurants, but unfortunately you will not be able to make use of the pool area, as you must be a guest at the resort in order to do so. You can read more information on the Disney Vacation Club website regarding Complimentary Alternative Pool Use. I highly recommend you consider making a reservation for Topolino’s Terrace, so that you can enjoy an incredible meal as well as take in the extraordinary views while exploring Disney’s Riviera Resort. Or just pop in to La Petit Café for a latté and some pastries that are as visually appealing as they are delicious.

I hope that you have a wonderful vacation in The Most Magical Place on Earth this August! Please stop back by if we can help answer any more of your vacation questions.
