Got a DVC Florida trip from a DVC member. He changed reservation to my name, but DVC will not talk w me as I am not the owner. How can I get reservation number and add guest names?

    Hiya, Catherine!

Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question.  How exciting that you are planning ahead for your magical Disney Vacation.  As a Disney Vacation Club Member for the last 22 years, Disney Vacation Club has been our home sweet home for so many Disney vacations. I am sure you will love the home away from home amenities that Disney Vacation Club Resorts provide.  It sure adds extra pixie dust to any Disney vacation!

Catherine, while a Disney Vacation Club Member can use their Vacation Points to make a reservation for a friend or family member, any changes or modifications to the reservation prior to check-in must be made by the Member.  So to add the Guests' names to your reservation, the Member will need to do this.  The Member will also need to provide you the reservation number so that you can link that reservation to your My Disney Experience account.  So, I would recommend contacting the Member who made the booking in your name, as Member Services can only speak to the Disney Vacation Club Member who owns the Membership.

Now, once you get your reservation number, the reservation is yours, and it will be in your name. With the reservation number, you can link the reservation to your My Disney Experience account, and this will enable you to access early check-in and add a credit card to your account for incidentals.  While the Member's Vacation Points pays for the cost of the room, you will be required to put a credit card on the account for any charges made to the room once you are on property.  Additionally, having your reservation linked in your My Disney Experience account will allow you to make  Disney Dining Reservations and Enchanting Extras Reservations beginning 60 days from your check-in day for the entirety of your stay.

If you can't reach the Member for the reservation number, you can try contacting Walt Disney World Guest Services to see if they may be able to access the reservation information.  However, the Member should have it or be able to log in to their Disney Vacation Club account where the information would be located.

I hope this helps you, Catherine.  If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, soar back here to see me, and we will be so happy to help you.

    Magically Yours,
    Keri
