DVC & AP staying at OKW. With breakfast ressie at BWV prior to EPCOT park opening, we plan to walk over after to spend our day. I have a car but I’m unsure how best to travel to breakfast. If we park at EPCOT, are buses running to BW before park opens?

    Hi Lori!

Welcome Home! You will be enjoying some of our family's favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts during your visit. Disney’s Old Key West Resort is my parents’ Home Resort and we enjoy staying there frequently. With the larger rooms, relaxing atmosphere, and the low number of Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points needed to book, I think this resort is a hidden gem! Dining at Olivia's Cafe is a special treat, and I highly recommend their Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken at dinner.

Disney’s BoardWalk Villas is one of my family's Home Resorts, and we love having so many dining options located on-site. If you have an Advance Dining Reservation at Disney's BoardWalk, you will be able to park at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas for your reservation. Be prepared to provide your reservation number to security at the parking lot entrance. While you are welcome to park during your dining experience, it is not permitted to leave your car there all day.

I see you are asking about parking in the Epcot lot to start, and then taking a bus to the resort for breakfast, but unfortunately, there is not a bus for this route, since Guests staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas can walk to the park.

So, what’s the best plan? If you feel you want your car during the day, you could park at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas for breakfast, then move your car to the Epcot Lot for the day. If you are willing to use a taxi, or ride-share service like Uber or Lyft, you could park your car in the Epcot lot to start the day, then request a ride from the front of Epcot to the BoardWalk for breakfast. My concern with this would be not knowing how early your breakfast reservation is, if it is significantly before park opening the Epcot parking lot may not have opened yet. The third option is to skip the car altogether. Use a taxi or ride-share in the morning to get to breakfast, walk to Epcot for the day, then simply hop the bus back to Old Key West from the front of Epcot at the end of your day. I think I would either move the car between breakfast and the day at Epcot, or I would use the last option and taxi to breakfast and bus my way home in the evening.

I hope this helps as you make the best decision for you, and I hope you have a delightful breakfast at Disney’s BoardWalk!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
