Welcome Home, William!
I’m glad you stopped by planDisney with your question! I’ve been a
Disney Vacation Club Member for more than 12 years and the discounted
Walt Disney World Annual Pass is one of my favorite perks! Even though we live in Indiana, scheduling two visits during the year has made an Annual Pass a good value for us. Do know that while sales of new Annual Passes have been paused, renewals can be processed for current Annual Passholders!
Normally, you can renew a Walt Disney World Annual Pass 60 days before expiration or 30 days after expiration. Generally speaking, this is still true. However, there are some exceptions to this due to the new
Disney Park Pass Reservation System. If you have a reservation booked at a
Disney Resort Collection Hotel, they will allow you to renew your Walt Disney World Annual Pass earlier, so that you can book your Park Pass Reservations for your trip. You will need to call Disney Vacation Club Member Services to renew your Walt Disney World Annual Pass with the DVC discount, as this cannot be done online or by calling Disney Ticketing.
You should be getting pretty close to the 60-day mark anyway if your Annual Pass expires in July. If you are more than 60 days before expiration still, just be sure Member Services sees you have a stay booked in November and let them know that is why you are renewing early. Most Members have not had any issues, though I have heard of isolated Members needing to ask another Cast Member if the first person wasn’t aware of this exception to the renewal policy.
I hope this helps, William! I was able to get through to Member Services pretty quickly last week so it appears hold times are decreasing. I would call today to get those Annual Passes renewed and book those Park Pass Reservations right away!
Wishing you
Membership Magic!- Kate
