During Run Disney race weekends, are there buses that leave from the parks and go to the ESPN Wild World of Sports? I'd like to try to leave directly from Epcot in the afternoon and pick up my bib.

Welcome to the Moms Panel, Alene!  In just a few days, thousands of princesses (including myself) will start arriving at Walt Disney World Resort for Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.

The runDisney Health & Fitness Expo is where you’ll pick up your race bib, shirt, and gEAR bag, and it is usually held on Thursday morning through Saturday afternoon.  During the race weekend, runDisney event transportation to the Expo and the races will be provided to/from all Walt Disney World Resorts (this also includes Shades of Green and the Swan and Dolphin Resorts).  However, runDisney transportation does not pick up or drop off at any of the theme parks.  Last year, after leaving Magic Kingdom Park, I walked over to Disney's Contemporary Resort where I was able to board a bus to the Expo.  If you're planning to spend the day at Epcot, you're best bet would be to exit the Park via the International Gateway located in World Showcase and then walk over to Disney's Beach Club Resort to catch a bus.

I'm also a big fan of Walt Disney World's Minnie Van Service, which works through the Lyft app.  Although it is an additional fee, the cars are usually only a few minutes away, and they get you to your destination in a jiffy!  I like to use the option when I leave the Expo since the lines for the runDisney buses are often long at the end of the day.

Alene, I think you'll find runDisney races are quite addicting!  Once you do one, you'll want to start planning your next.  Please come back and visit us again if we help make your vacation more magical!
