During my most recent trip, I built a droid at Droid Depot- I noticed on the banned item list though that remote control toys aren't allowed in. Would I be able to bring my droid back to the park to interact more?

    Hi Krysten,

Welcome back to planDisney! I am excited that you love your droid so much that you want to bring it back to experience Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. You are welcome to bring your droid back to visit its' friends at Droid Depot and buy some new accessories for it. I highly recommend getting the backpack to carry it around in if you plan to bring it along often. It definitely makes it much easier to carry your droid and hear it interact with other droids around Batuu.

I love taking my droid over to the mat across from Droid Depot and letting it interact with other droids my fellow travelers have built. This is the only place inside the theme park where you will be allowed to utilize the remote control element of your droid. Outside of this mat, your droid will need to be held throughout the remainder or your journey through the galaxy. Depending on if your droid is from the Resistance or the First Order, it will interact with different areas in Galaxy's Edge. My droid is from the Resistance and does not like walking near the Tie Fighters!

Once my journey in Batuu is complete, I like to head back to the front of Hollywood Studios and store my droid in a locker rental located at what looks like an old Hollywood gas station. I like to have my hands free for snacks the rest of the day so this allows me to enjoy Toy Story Land worry-free knowing I can pick my buddy up on the way out the door at the end of the day!
