During our last visit to WDW in 2009 we enjoyed the picnic in the park at Animal Kingdom.I haven't seen anything more about it and was wondering if it is still offered?

Hi Dave! The Picnic in the Park at Animal Kingdom is now offered in the form of a "Grab and Go" at the Beastly Bazaar shop. At the Beastly Bazaar, guests may purchase a picnic for a group of 2, 4, or 6 people, consisting of a non-alcoholic beverage, a choice of sandwich, chips, and dessert. The sandwich choices include Turkey Focaccia; Ham and Salami on Ciabatta; Tuna on Pita; Vegetarian Wrap; and Chicken Caesar Wrap. You can use your Quick-Service Dining credits to purchase the picnic meals.

You likely remember the Picnic in the Park from your 2009 trip as pre-ordered hot ham or chicken entrees with various side dishes. Disney announced in early 2010 that this form of the Picnic would be offered only seasonally, but we haven't heard any reports of it being offered at all since then, with the exception of Easter week last year.

Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
