Hello, Angela! We are so glad you came to the Disney Parks Moms Panel seeking advice!
I've always had a thirst for knowledge of all things Disney- especially anything regarding the "Man Behind The Mouse."
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour is perfect for any first-timer or veteran Walt Disney World fan, who wants to hEAR the fascinating history of
Magic Kingdom Park. I'll try to preserve the magic for you, but I'll share some spoiler-free information.
At the beginning of the tour, as you walk down Main Street, U.S.A, you will notice names painted on the windows on the upper floors. Our guide informed us that when Walt Disney was getting into the film business, movie credits were shown at the beginning of the movie. These names serve as credits for some of the many people who contributed in some manner to the Parks. The tour guides do a fantastic job of pointing out these little-known facts, trivia, and other exciting tidbits along the way. Therefore, I was genuinely excited when we were allowed to dig into some fun details about my very favorite attraction, the
Haunted Mansion (I'm a Foolish Mortal at heart). Depending on the time, sometimes you'll even get to learn the ins and outs about a second attraction (usually the
Jungle Cruise). However, the real reason guests eagerly sign up for this 5-hour tour is to have the opportunity for a sneak peek of the underground Utilidor tunnels! I've never been so excited to learn about trash in my life (in case you're wondering, Magic Kingdom Park uses an automated vacuum collection system for waste removal). This tour goes out daily, several times a day, but it is so popular that it books up very quickly. Call (407) 939-8687 for reservations.
I hope you have a magical time, Angela!
