During COVID and reduced hours, are you able to join a queue near park closing and still ride if the wait time is past park close?

    Greetings to you, Laurel!

I am elated you stopped by planDisney with your question!

I like the way you think, Laurel! Maximizing my time at The Most Magical Place on Earth is vital to me, as well; I want to make sure I make the most of every magical minute!

You’re correct about the Theme Park hours changing during the current times, Laurel; you can view Theme Park hours here. I contacted a Cast Member for the current Park rules and was told that you can line up to the queue until the attraction is deemed closed depending on the closure of the Park. This is entirely at the discretion of the Cast Member working the attraction since they truly know their attractions best! The wonderful Cast Member I spoke to suggested going as early as you can because the Cast Members need to clean the attractions thoroughly and they all vary.

The only ride that requires booking a boarding group is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios, so be sure to grab a boarding pass for it at either 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. as those are the current times for opportunities to join the queue! And this attraction is out of this world and totally worth trying to snag a boarding group for!

Laurel, I encourage you to reserve your Disney Park Pass if you haven’t already and you’ll be all set to return to the magic!

May the Force be with you, Laurel!
