Bright Suns, Mark! I received the transmission from your droid regarding the Cold Brew Black Caf that's currently being brewed at Kat Saka's Kettle. Thankfully, Obi-Wan Kenobi isn't your only hope! You have truly found your fellow Jedi here at planDisney.
It looks like you'll be traveling to a galaxy far, far away this fall and will be landing on the planet Batuu in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! You'll need to refuel after your long journey and you'll have plenty of options to obtain some galactic grub while you explore Black Spire Outpost. My favorites are a Ronto Wrap from
Ronto Roasters, the Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread from
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, and some fun treats from
Kat Saka's Kettle.
As a highly caffeinated being myself, I love the Cold Brew Black Caf for a pick-me-up between adventures! However, my husband stays far, far away from caffeine, so we often are on the hunt for options that are just as tasty, but far less heart-pounding. Unfortunately, I haven't seen a decaf version of the Cold Brew Black Caf during my travels to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. However, you can always ask the merchant at this stand if they're currently offering a decaf version by the time of your visit. I know this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but I believe I have some alternative options I think you will enjoy just as much!
Mark, you might enjoy making an advance dining reservation at
Oga's Cantina for your visit. This watering hole welcomes Jedi, smugglers, and dark side sympathizers alike! With so many out-of-this-world options, you're sure to enjoy a special non-caffeinated drink. We especially loved the Cliff Dweller (which we purchased in a porg mug) and the Blue Bantha (which comes with a Bantha-inspired cookie!). I'd also recommend channeling your inner Jedi and trying both the blue and green milk from the
Milk Stand.
If you're truly looking for a Cold Brew Black Caf experience without caffeine, I have one more suggestion for you! I'd recommend that you travel "off-planet" to
The Trolley Car Café, which can be found on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard as you enter Disney's Hollywood Studios. Order a decaf iced coffee (or decaf iced latte - your choice!) with some vanilla sweet cream cold foam on top. Ask them to add some cinnamon dolce sprinkles to top it off! I suggest naming this drink The Mark Side (get it?). Then, blast off over to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and watch the residents in Batuu ask you where you got your custom galactic libation.
No matter which route you take, I think you're going to have an incredible adventure in
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! Be sure that you've also made your Theme Park Reservations using the
Disney Park Pass system, which is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on your trip. And, most of all, may the Force be with you!
'Til the Spires!
