Due to some of my children being college students, my family must take our disneyworld vacation mid June, busy season. I have seen lots of advice for those with young children, ie go back to the resort mid-day, nap. What about those with older children?

Hi, Teri!  I've got a college aged kid myself, and we still like to get an early start at the theme park.  Especially in the summer, when the afternoons can be quite hot, we like to go at park opening and get as much done as we can.  We don't usually go back to nap anymore, but we might go back to the resort and hit the pool or do some shopping in the resort shops or Downtown Disney.  That also gives us a chance to shower and get ready for dinner, which means we can go to some of the signature dining restaurants fresh and clean!

Even with my 12 year old, I find that taking the afternoon off is usually a great plan.  Another option, though, is to do as many attractions early in the day as you can, then spend some time at the theme park checking out the shops or enjoying a leisurely meal.  It's so nice to sit down to a delicious meal during the hottest part of the day!

I hope your family has a wonderful time at Walt Disney World!
