Ahoy Jessica!
Thanks for sailing by planDisney with such a great question. I'd be thrilled to help a fellow Tar Heel State resident prepare for an epic European sailing.
While I completely understand your desire to explore unencumbered by luggage, I checked with a Cast Member who advised that guests are unable to drop off luggage before their scheduled
Port Arrival Time. You are certainly welcome to double-check with the porters when you arrive at the
Civitavecchia Port Terminal as they will be available to assist guests beginning around 11 a.m., but I can't make any guarantees. I'd recommend reaching out to your rental property for recommendations. They may have an area for you to store your luggage for a few hours or even recommend a nearby option while you're waiting to board the ship.
Based on your travel date, I believe you'll be sailing on
Disney Dream. My family absolutely loves this beautiful ship and I'm excited for you to experience it with such an incredible selection of ports of call. If you haven't already done so, consider booking a meal at
Remy, an adult-exclusive restaurant that's sure to impress. My husband and I enjoyed a Champagne Brunch there a few years ago and are still dreaming of the delicate courses we feasted on complimented by hand-selected wine pairings and sweeping ocean views.
If French-inspired cuisine isn't your love language, you might prefer a dessert from
Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats on Deck 11. My kids are still talking about the "Hero's Duty" Sundae my son ordered on our last sailing- a sugar rush indeed!
Jessica, your sail date is just a few short weeks away and there is so much magic and adventure awaiting you. If we can help answer any questions as you prepare to set sail please come back and let us know.
Bon voyage!
Amy
