    We will be drivingfrom TN- wondering if it made sense to see if we can get our room the night before and not do a park- or stay somewhere outside the park? I "think" I have read we can get to our resort and just not check in and go to park?

    Hi Chrissy,

    We have stayed our first night outside of the park and then went to our resort the next day to start our vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort.The advantage of this is you save some money on your resort expenses.

    Unless you are on the Disney Dining Plan, you can head straight to the park and begin your vacation. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, you will need to check-in at your resort to activate your dining. You could always pay out of pocket but why do this if your meals are paid.

    You can speed up your check-in process if you complete the online registration ten days prior to your arrival.
