Hi there, We're driving to WDW, staying at Pop Century and will likely arrive around noon and then check in later that afternoon at 4pm. When we get to town around noon, can we park at our hotel and use the pool before our room is ready? Thanks!

Welcome back to planDisney, Georgina! Thanks for stopping by with another question. I'm sure you're excited about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. You're sure to have a groovy time at the Hippy Dippy Pool at Disney's Pop Century Resort.

Going to the pool on our check-in day has become somewhat of a tradition for my family. My family visited Walt Disney World last summer and we spent a lot of time at the pool during our stay at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. You're welcome to head to the pool for some splashtastic fun when you arrive!

Disney is strongly recommending Guests use Online Check-In to aid in social distancing efforts and avoid delays. "When you use the Direct-to-Room service, you provide us in advance of your arrival with information typically collected during a traditional check-in at the Front Desk. On arrival day, you'll receive notifications on your mobile device (based on communication preferences you have opted into) with real-time updates, including when your room is ready and what your room number is."

You can begin the online check-in process now on disneyworld.com or with the My Disney Experience app. Remember to bring your MagicBand with you or set up the Unlock Door feature on your smartphone. Then you can head to the pool when you arrive and use your MagicBand to get into the pool area.

Did you know that if you have a credit card on file there's no need to stop by the Front Desk to check out of your room? Simply leave your room any time before 11:00 a.m. on the morning of your departure. If you're not leaving town immediately, you can store your luggage with Bell Services. Disney will send an email with any itemized hotel charges or you can view your charges on the My Disney Experience app.

Georgina, please let us know if we can help you with any other questions before your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

    Have a magical day!
