We are driving to WDW Sept. 1-7. We are staying at the Pop Century Resort. I've heard we can request where and what kind of room we want. Any recomendations? We did not book a perfered room. The 50's section looks like fun. You all have been a great help!!

Hi Jannette! Disney's Pop Century Resort is such a fun place to spend your Disney vacation!  Be it from lounging at the Hippy Dippy Pool in the 60's section, or enjoying a meal at the Everything Pop! food court, you are bound to have a great time!  Each section of Pop Century is dedication to a decade in time, and its decor reflects that.  Although you can request a particular section, keep in mind that it is not a guarantee as most rooms are doled out by a lottery system, of you will. The section which is closes to the food court would be 60's section. It is directly across from the Classic Hall, which houses everything from the lobby to the food court.  It houses the largest of the three pools at Pop, The Hippy Dippy Pool, and Goofy's Pop Jet Playground a small water play section for the little ones.  The sections closest to this is the 50's building . Closer to the main hall is the 70's or 80's building B. Although not preferred, still keeps you accessible to amenities! Prior to your arrival, you should call Disney reservations at (407) 939-7675 and have it noted on your reservation what your room preference would be.  3 days prior to arrival, you can call the resort directly at (407) 938-4000 and indicate where your preferred building would be.  Please note that this is not a guarantee, but Disney cast members do go above and beyond to make your stay magical. Hope this helps you plan a magical Disney vacation! -Malanie
