I am driving from Texas to Orlando next week to visit WDWR for the first time with 3 kids. 8,6,and 2. There are things there that I want to be able to do with my older kids that the baby can't do. Any suggestions on childcare? Rates? Advice?

    Hi Charly!

Congrats on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

There are plenty of childcare options if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort. You didn't mention which resort you are staying at, but several of the resorts have childcare clubs, such as the Sandcastle Club at Disney's Beach Club Resort

Children ages 3 to 12 can enjoy an evening in the club while parents have a date night or take an older child to do something special.

For your two-year old, they can benefit from the Kids Nite Out, which is an independent childcare provider that provides one-to-one in-room babysitting. This service is available for children ages 6 months to 12 years. You can make a reservation for a childcare club or in-room babysitting at the front desk when you visit. Several other resorts offering childcare clubs, so you can call you resort to see what they offer.

One of my friends used the in-room babysitting when she visited last week and she loved it! The childcare provider was excellent and the kids loved her! The rates are very reasonable. The rates are subject to change, but the latest rate I'm aware of for Kids Nite Out is $16 an hour for one child and up for each additional child. There are also other restrictions, such as an additional charge after 9:00 p.m. and groups of more than four children, and a $10 transportation fee and a four hour minimum. You can call 1-800-696-0920 to book. The rates for the kids clubs at each of the resorts varies depending upon the resort. You can visit wdwinfo dot com for a full listing of the resorts that have clubs and their rates.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
