Driving from South FL to WDW in Orlando! Will be @ all parks. 2 24 year olds. Will most likely need a nap, since we are early risers & plan on eating later night dinners. Best to use Disney tran. or drive our car? Afraid we'll be waiting a lot for buss

    Hi Rebecca,

I assume you're asking about transportation from your resort to the theme parks. If so, then the answer to your questions is "it depends."

Guests are almost always better off using Disney's free transportation if they're visiting the Magic Kingdom. The buses to the Magic Kingdom drop guests off directly at the park gates. But if you take your car, you'll have to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then transfer to a ferry or monorail to get to the park. Therefore, driving your car takes extra time.

For the other three theme parks, you can usually save time by taking your own car. The exception to this would be if you're staying at one of the Epcot area resorts (Yacht/Beach, Boardwalk, Swan/Dolphin). These hotels are all walkable or boatable to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, making a car less necessary.

So, that was a long way of saying take your car to all the parks except the Magic Kingdom. But if you're staying in the Epcot area, it's also OK to use Disney transport for Epcot and DHS.

    Have a great trip!
