Driving to Pop Cntry. May arrive late Fri 1 or 2 am. Should we book for fri or stay off site that night. Could use the credit for dining plans we have later. If we don't make it til the am what is the penalty? We would call if we were going to be late.

    HI Pamela!

Our family often drives to Walt Disney World, and nearly always arrives around midnight, or even later! We very much prefer to stay at the resort we'll be at for the full vacation. This saves us a ton of time in the morning - instead of transferring hotels, we can sleep a little later and then hit a park right away! The time you'll save by already being at your resort is well worth it!

There is never a penalty for checking in late at night. While I usually ask that it be noted on my reservation that we'll be arriving late, there have been times that I haven't done this and its never been an issue. Usually check-in late at night is quick and easy, as the lines are short (or even non-existent)!

Your extra dining credits can be used later in the week - or even for a two credit Character meal - so no worries there.

I hope you have a great trip and a safe drive! Enjoy!
