We're driving from Philadelphia to WDW in August 2013. We would love to get within 2 hrs of WDW before stopping & sleeping for the night in an affordable hotel. Do you have any recommendations of towns/cities in which to stop & look for hotel/campg

Hi, Michelle!  I have done this trip many, many times from just across the bridge from you, and on the times we can't make it straight through, I love to get as close as we can so that we still get a full theme park day in the next day.

Once you hit Jacksonville, Florida, you are within a three hour drive to Walt Disney World.  Just about an hour from Jacksonville is Palm Coast.  It's a great spot to stop, You'll find several big chain hotels there, as well as restaurants that include fast food and some sit down spots.  There are also gas stations, and the best part is that everything is really right off of the exit, so you don't have to wind through local streets to get to anything, and in the morning, you can get right back on the road.

I hope that helps your planning a bit!  I love the drive down to Orlando from here, and I will say, if you can just make it those last two hours, it's always so much better to wake up where the Magic is!

Have a great time on your upcoming trip!
