Hello Emma,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with this question for your upcoming trip.
It sounds like you want to get an early start on attractions and entertainment before you head to your resort room for some well-deserved rest. This is a smart plan as the official check-in time is 3 pm for resort hotels and 4 pm for
Disney Deluxe Villas. Keep in mind that Bell Services would be happy to hold your bags if you'd like to drop them off before your room is ready, but if you want to head straight to the parks, I'm happy to report that
complimentary standard theme park parking is available for guests staying at
Walt Disney World Resort hotels.
You'll just need to follow a few steps to ensure you aren't charged for parking when you arrive at the theme park of your choice. First, be sure to download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App and link your room or vacation package confirmation number. When you arrive at the park entrance show the attendant your reservation within the app or scan your linked MagicBand or MagicBand+. You'll be directed where to park and then you'll be free to proceed straight to a day of magic and adventure!
Did you know there's also a handy new
Car Locator feature available in the My Disney Experience App? It's a great tool to help remember when you parked after a long day of excitement. Be sure your location and Bluetooth settings are both enabled or you'll have the option to manually input your parking location details.
Emma, I'd also like to remind you that Online Check-In is also available through the My Disney Experience App. There, you can make room requests, link a credit card, and input your estimated arrival time. Use the
Direct-to-Room Service and you'll receive a notification when your resort room is ready, allowing you to skip a stop at the Front Desk before you head to your room.
Wishing you the most magical vacation!
Amy
