Driving from MD to FL through the night (so our 5yo and 1yo sleep!) we will arrive at our resort (WL) around 5am, any suggestion on what to do so early? Thank you!

    Hi Amanda!

Arriving at 5:00 a.m. may be a bit tough, as not much is open that early in the morning. I always like to shop at Downtown Disney while waiting to check into my room, but they don't open until around 9:30 most mornings.

You can do things that don't require a place to be open to experience. Some ideas include visiting Disney's Boardwalk area and walking around the beautiful lake. When I stayed at the Boardwalk Resort I went for a run each morning on the Boardwalk and watching the sunrise over the beautiful lake and seeing everything before the hustle and bustle of the crowds was a serene experience.

You can also visit one of the resorts to admire the decor. Many of the restaraunt at Disney open for breakfast as early as 7:00 a.m. so you can make an Advanced Dining Reservation for early morning. I suggest Chef Mickeys at The Contemporary. You can walk around the beautiful Contemporary Resort and then pop up to Chef Mickeys for breakfast with the Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto)

Then you can take the monorail to Magic Kingdom to enjoy time at the parks before you check in.

I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Magically,
    Stacy
