Hi! We're driving down from Michigan for the first time, and I was wondering if it matters what time we arrive at the parks, as far as getting into the room. We'd like to time it to get there that night, and crash in the room.

Hi Jessica and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m happy to see that you have a trip in the works for  October! I love to see the Walt Disney World Resort all dressed up in the Autumn colors!

My family and I also like to drive in and crash in our hotel room to wake up nice and fresh the next day, ready to explore the theme parks. When we do that, I use the online check-in service.

Did you know that you can begin the online check-in process 60 days before your magical vacation begins by logging in to your My Disney Experience account?  You can also check in using your My Disney Experience app with just a few quick taps on your smartphone! If you already have your MagicBands with you, you will receive a message with your room number. That means you can bypass the front desk and go directly to your Disney Resort hotel room.

It’s important to note that check-in time for Disney Resort hotels is 3:00 p.m. For guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resort Villas, check-in time is 4:00 p.m. So, if your family arrives any time after that, your comfy bed will be ready and waiting for you!

Jessica, I hope this information is helpful to you as you continue planning your trip. Please feel free to stop by again with any other questions you may have!
