Ahoy there, Lindsay,
It is great to see you again here at planDisney! Thanks for bringing your questions to us; we are happy to help with your
Walt Disney World Resort and
Disney Cruise Line vacation! You are going to have a spooky good time on your
Halloween on the High Seas cruise on the
Disney Wish. One of my favorite moments on my Halloween cruise aboard the Disney Wish last year was meeting Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck and Clarabelle Cow dressed as the Sanderson sisters. It is one of the best Character experiences ever!
Lindsay, I always drive to the
Disney Cruise Terminal at Port Canaveral, so I have a few tips for you. The parking deck at the port is operated by the Port Canaveral Port Authority and is located adjacent to the Disney cruise terminal. It is super convenient! In fact, there is an elevated walkway connecting the parking deck to the terminal so we usually don’t worry about dropping off our luggage before we park, but you can if you would like. No reservations are needed, which makes things even easier. You will pay when you arrive, so after your cruise, you simply drive out and head on your way. The parking rate is reasonably priced, too.
The drive is super easy and usually takes about 90 minutes from Walt Disney World. There is nothing like getting that first glimpse of the Disney Wish as you approach the port! The garage opens at 10:15 a.m., but keep your port arrival time in mind as you plan your day.
One tip, some GPS systems require you to enter “Cape Canaveral” rather than “Port Canaveral.” Whichever you enter, the directions should be the same.
Lindsay, we are all so excited for you and your upcoming vacation. If you have any other questions, sail back by!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
