We drive to WDW so were tired the first day but looking for a Disney fix,can we go to a park and take the buses to different hotels and look around?

Even when we fly to WDW, I am usually completely exhausted by the time we get there. It's a great idea to be low-key on your arrival day and recharge so that you can be at the parks first thing in the morning with lots of energy.

Touring the resorts is a fun first day activity. You can definitely use Disney transportation to bop around to the different hotels and check out their unique themeing. I have done this myself several times.

Another great arrival day activity is booking a character meal in one of the resorts. Doing this you get a good dose of Disney magic and a nice visit with the characters, but you don't have to pay for park admission. Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare are nice choices for this.

A different option would be a trip to Downtown Disney on you first day. There are plenty of fun restaurants here (new T-Rex!) and lots of great Disney souvenir shopping. This will also get you in the mood, without any need to pay an admission fee.

    Have a great trip!
