Hi there, Tiffany! We are so glad to welcome you back to planDisney! You must be so excited to visit with Mickey and his pals in a few days.
We've all heard the advice that you should drink at least eight glasses of water a day- and that's even more vital when vacationing at Walt Disney World Resort! However, the prices for all those drinks can certainly add up, and bringing your own beverages into the parks is a great cost-effective strategy.
Guests are welcome to bring outside food and nonalcoholic drinks into Disney's theme parks and water parks as long as they are not in glass containers and do not require heating.
I like to place an online grocery order before my arrival so we can have plenty of water bottles, juice boxes, and sports drinks to pack in our park bags. Better yet, my friend,
Anne Marie, gave me a tip to bring an insulated water bottle to the parks; there are several water bottle refill stations located on property, and you can always ask for a free cup of water at any quick-service dining location.
Some guests even like to bring a cooler, and I recommend traveling with a smaller one with soft sides. Per the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules: "Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61cm x 38cm x 46cm) are not allowed in any theme park or water park. Loose or dry ice is not permitted in these containers. Reusable ice packs are recommended."
Tiffany, make sure to also indulge in a few fun snacks while you are there!
The Disney Parks Blog has a Foodie Guide with the best Holiday Delights. One of my favorites is the Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Cocoa found at ABC Commissary in Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Have the merriest time with the ones you love!
