Welcome aboard, Laura! I see that you have a very exciting sailing with Captain Mickey and his crew coming up soon! It must be about time to begin packing for the big trip!
Disney Cruise Line has some
dress code suggestions on their website, so be sure to take a peek at that. The dress for children is pretty much the same suggestions as for adults. On your seven-night sailing, you'll have four cruise casual nights. Those are nights to wear casual cruise clothing, just no swimwear or tank tops. My son usually wear dressy shorts and a polo shirt, and my daughter wears a summer dress or cute skirt and top.
Pirate night is the night for the whole family to wear your swashbuckling best, so bring a few pirate accessories, or go all out in a full pirate costume! Then, you'll have a formal night and a semi-formal night. These are the nights to dress up even more. Little girls can be seen twirling in princess gowns, or simply wearing their favorite fancy dress. It's a great night for your little boy to wear a tie or even jacket and tie if he'll be happy with that, and if not, then some khakis and a nice shirt will be just fine. You will get wonderful photos that night, and if your little ones are not thrilled about dressing up, you can let them know that even Mickey and his friends will be out in their formalwear for photos! When my son was really young, we had a tuxedo and a Mickey Mouse bow tie for him. My husband wore his tuxedo that same night and we have the most adorable photos of the two of them together! But, whatever dressier outfits your family feels comfortable in will be perfect!
Have a wonderful cruise, Laura!
