We are going on the Dream in October with my 1 and 4 years old girls. Are the theater shows friendly for little ones who might get fussy, or should I book time in the nursery? Is late dining ok for littles?

    Welcome aboard, Samantha!

The Broadway-style shows in the Walt Disney Theatre are top notch productions featuring all of your girls' favorite Disney characters. They will delight in seeing Disney princesses sing and dance across the stage, and Mickey and his pals will entertain them in so many numbers! I believe that it's a great introduction to live theatre for your little ones. If your daughter gets fussy, everyone understands that you might need to sneak out for a bit to calm her down. But, I promise that these shows will hold their attention, and you may find that they are completely drawn in by the beautiful storytelling and scenery up on that stage! If you are concerned that they may not last the whole show, simply grab seats on the aisle so you can make a quick exit and return if need be.

My family has enjoyed the later dining seating on almost all of our sailings. If your four year-old is interested in the Youth Clubs, and has really enjoyed her time in those during the days, you will be happy to hear about Dine and Play, which is offered only during the second dinner seating. Your dining servers will bring the kids' meals first, and about 45 minutes into the seating, counselors from the Oceaneer Club will meet at the front doors of the restaurants to pick up kids who are done eating and would like to head to the clubs. My kids love this, and my husband and I love that we have the best of both worlds: family dining and also some time for the second half of our meal alone to catch up while the kids are having the time of their lives in the clubs!

Have fun planning, and let us know if you have other questions before you head out to sea with Captain Mickey and his crew, Samantha!
