Going on the Dream in June. Can you describe the size of the Mickey bands that the kids need for the Kids club? Is it just like a regular wrist band or something else? Once it is put on, can it be removed and put on again when needed? Thanks

Welcome back to the Moms Panel, Jackie!

Can you believe your wondrous voyage is just two months away?  I'm sure you are counting the days until you are sailing away with Captain Mickey on the magnificent Disney Dream!  I recently returned from my own Disney Cruise, and both my children wore the Mickey bands for the kids' programming. Each time your child comes to the Oceaneer Club or Lab, they will tap their band to alert the computer system that they are entering the club.  They will also tap their band on the way out as well.  The bracelet is similar to a hospital band, and they adjust it to fit each child.  There is a GPS tracking device that is attached to each bracelet that allows the youth counselors to locate your child when they are checked in to the facility.  This device is about the size of the face on an adult's watch or a one by one inch square.  It must be worn at all times and returned on the last night of your cruise.  If it is lost, you will be charged a $50 fee to your shipboard account.  My kids have worn these types of bands on our three cruises, and it has not been a problem.  I have seen some children with the bands on their ankles as well.

I hope my answer helps.  Please let me know if you have any further questions!  I'm always happy to help.

Have a wonderful day and magical cruise vacation!
