Dream July 2014 Grandsons 9 & 7 NO ones to dress up-polo shirt/ shorts. I would like them to go to the dining rooms (even if for short time to see Crush etc) then they can go off to the kids club-while we finish our meals (3 adults) any thoughts?

    Welcome back, Denise!

Your grandsons are welcome to wear polo shirts and dressy shorts (my son usually wears khaki shorts) to dinner on the Dream. I'm not sure if you're sailing for three or four nights, but neither of those features a Formal or Semi-Formal night, so polos and nice shorts are absolutely appropriate every night for them. There will be an Optional Dress-Up night, but "Optional" being the key word here.

If you are enjoying the second seating of dinner, Disney Cruise Line offers Dine & Play during that seating. The kids' meals are brought out first and then about 45 minutes to an hour into the seating, counselors from the Youth Clubs arrive at the doors to each main dining restaurant to take kids to the clubs while parents (or grandparents) finish their meals on their own. We love taking advantage of this, as we want to have family time, but sometimes the kids just need to run off their energy! So we get the best of both with this Dine & Play option during second seating.

If you're booked for main dining instead, you can always ask your server to bring the kids' meals out first so that they can finish and one of you can sneak away from the table to walk the kids up to the clubs then come back to enjoy the rest of your meal.

Stop back again if you have more questions, Denise! I'm happy to help!
