Hi Jo, and welcome to planDisney! One thing I love about vacationing at Disney World is leaving all the driving and cooking to Mickey. And the dining plan makes it extra magical because all you need to worry about is deciding where to eat next!
Now, let’s figure out how many dining plan credits you'll have. If you booked a Walt Disney World Resort package with the Free Dining and Drinks offer for 2025 stays (it was available to book last year from April 18 to November 7), and you selected to stay at a
Value Resort Hotel, everyone ages 3 and over gets 1 Quick-Service Meal per night. So, if your package is for 7 nights, each person would have 7 Quick-Service Meals. The dining plans are extremely flexible and I love that you can use those credits anytime during your stay from check-in until midnight of your check-out date. So if you love the food at Hollywood Studios, you can use 2 Quick-Service Meal credits in 1 day there for lunch and dinner.
If you'd prefer a dining plan with Snack credits, you do have the option of upgrading to the
Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan where each person gets 2 Quick-Service Meals, 1 Non-Alcoholic/Alcoholic Drink per Meal, and 1 Snack or Drink per day. It also comes with a Resort-Refillable Mug. There's also the
Disney Dining Plan that includes Table-Service meals.
While you’re on vacation, it’s easy to keep track of how many credits you have left. In the
My Disney Experience app, go to ☰ in the lower right corner and select Hotel Reservations. Under your room number, press Check Dining Plan. Here you’ll see how many dining credits you’ve used and how many you have left. In my experience, it'll pop up once you check into your resort hotel.
There's lots of incredible food at Disney World and it can be hard to decide where to use your credits. Two of my favorite Quick-Service Meals are the Peka Tuna Poke at
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo at Hollywood Studios and the Smoked Chimichurri-braised Beef at
Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom.
One last tip before I go—
mobile food ordering in the My Disney Experience app can be a real time saver! And you can use it with your dining plan credits. My family likes to place mobile orders while we’re in the queue for an attraction. We’ll choose an arrival window for when we think we’ll be done with the ride, which can be modified or canceled if your plans change.
I’m wishing you safe travels and lots of delicious food on your Disney World vacation! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
