Welcome back, Ayman! I loved every moment of my adventures with
Disney Cruise Line in the Mediterranean a few years back, so I'm really glad to hear that you'll be heading to sea in Europe with Captain Mickey this month!
Guest Services does do currency exchange onboard, however, I'd suggest that you exchange some money at your bank before you leave home, as you'll most likely get a better rate. Most spots in the ports will except credit cards too, which is even easier, but having some cash on hand is a must. If you find a local ATM in port, that is what I found to be the best rate, even better than a bank back home, but I wouldn't recommend counting on that, as it's always smart to have at least some cash in hand when you arrive. Another option is to bring traveler's checks to exchange for local currency in the ports.
Do you have any of Disney's amazing
Port Adventures booked? I sure hope so, as the European Port Adventures I experienced were by far the best ones I've ever taken. Disney gives you a taste of the history and culture of each port on these adventures!
Check the weather online before you leave for each of your ports of call to be sure, but you can certainly expect very warm summer weather on your Mediterranean sailing, with highs in the mid 80's as an average, so pack accordingly! Just remember that certain places in Europe, especially cathedrals and other churches, require covered shoulders and knees to enter, so bring along a light sweater or jacket. You'll also want that jacket onboard in the evening when at sea, as it can get breezy. Plus, I'm always chilly inside the ship, so I have a sweater with me all the time at dinner and the shows.
Have so much fun on this exciting European adventure, Ayman!
