Can a 12 y/o with Down syndrome be checked in (as a participant, not during open house with parents present) to either the Club or Lab? Edge isn't an option because we wouldn't want her to check herself out and wander the ship unsupervised.

    Ahoy Darcie!

Welcome back to the Moms Panel!  The counselors at the Oceaneer Club and Lab do have training to deal with Guests with special needs.  My best advice is to go to the youth spaces once you board and speak directly with the Youth Counselor Manager.  He or she will be able to discuss your particular situation and determine whether or not your daughter will be able to be an active participant.  I wish I could tell you a definite answer, but each situation is different.

I hope that everything works out and your daughter can experience the youth programming on your cruise.  If you think of any other questions before you set sail, I'll be happy to help!  Just let me know!

    Have a magical day!
