Monique,
Let's start with the princess thing. First off, you are already going well above what any parent has to do in that department. While I think you should consider yourself more than ready and done in that arena, I only have one more suggestion. Well two.
- First, visit Merida (from the upcoming movie Brave). She is now in the Magic Kingdom, to the right of Cinderella Castle.
- Second, just make sure you know of ALL the princesses that your daughter will want to see. Since you don't meet EVERY princess at Cinderella's Royal Table, figure out where to find the ones that she also wants to meet. Some that come to mind are Jasmine (Adventureland or Epcot in the Moroccan pavilion), Mulan (Epcot China pavilion), and Tiana (Liberty Square).
As for Hoop Dee Doo Review, only Disney knows how long it will be down. It may be back up for your visit, but it may not. You need to walk that balancing act of not giving up, but not setting yourself up for disappointment either.
It is my two daughters' #1 request, and we may miss it in October too. So what we are doing is this;
- I made a reservation elsewhere, to cover out bases. Whispering Canyon Cafe or Mickey's Backyard BBQ come to mind as best alternatives.
- I call every other week to ask if they are offering reservations, and if not when they might know more.
BOTTOM LINE: Don't let Hoop Dee Doo's possible closure ruin it for you. It is just one of MANY great dining experiences, and you can just save that for the next trip!
Have a magical vacation!
