    Diana,

    As it happens, they also announced the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party dates, and yes, they start on November 9th!

    You are going to find that the Magic Kingdom has an earlier closing date during these slower times of the year than at the height of the busy summer. And it is not just because the sun sets earlier, so they can have the fireworks earlier. It is an operational issue. What I have seen historically during this time is the following;
    • The park is open later on the weekends, for the obvious reason that crowds grow a bit based on local traffic
    • The park 'closes' at 7 on nights when they are having the party
    • The park 'closes' at 8 on nights that they have evening Extra Magic Hours

    After applying these three rules, you will find that as November proceeds the standard closing time migrates from 9pm to 8pm. There is no way to pinpoint on what day that happens, as it is gradual.

    So as a rule, assume a hard 7pm/8pm closing time dependent upon party nights, and know that your later evening hours will be available on weekends.

    Have a magical vacation!
