Hi Doug, wondering which is better for Fantasmic, HV or MM? Our reservations are 415 or 445. Do we have to go right to the line up after eating for the 8 show? Reservation staff were unaware of the change in the line up procedure.

    Rebecca,

I think I got this in a previous question, but I prefer, for dinner Mama Melrose's. I think it is a great dinner setting. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE Hollywood and Vine. But I just like Mama's better for dinner.

The one exception would be if you have a family with a lot of different appetites. If a buffet is going to make it easier for everyone to get what they want for dinner, this could be a better alternative.

As for getting in the Fantasmic line as soon as dinner is over, it depends. I always, regardless of time of year, swing by the line area after dinner. If it looks like the line is already forming and getting long, then yes.

The real rule, however, is based on overall park crowd size. If you are there during a busy season, and the park crowd is large, you should make sure you are getting in line as early as 6:30. If you are there during a quieter time, you could be safe as much as 30 minutes beforehand, though I would always get there at least 45 minutes ahead.

    Enjoy the show!

    Have a magical vacation!
