Hi, Doug! We will be in WDW Nov 14-19, '09 (4 todderl/infants & 6 adults - DVC WL). We were in WDW in October 08, and the crowds were HEAVY. This came as a huge surprise! What can we expect in November in terms of crowds? Any tips for a Nov trip?

    Julie,

You are not the first person I heard say that the October 08 crowds were very large. Very surprising! As I have mentioned in answers here on the panel many times, and as you will read in most travel guide books, October is a traditionally moderate to light crowd size month. Sorry you got stuck with an out-of-character experience (get the pun?)!

As for November, the first three weeks traditionally have had what would be described as moderate sized crowds. Actually, they are usually forecasted for about what you should have expected in October. But the last week of November is always very crowded, naturally due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Based on the dates you listed, you should see moderate sized crowds during your whole stay. Because your trip ends a a full week before the holiday, I don't think you will ever see the busier holiday crowd. I just hope that you don't have another crowd surprise!

One November travel tip. Average low temperature is 58.7 degrees, so remember to have sweaters and jackets for the evening so that you don't get to cold at night!

    Have a magical vacation!
