    Caroline,

    Since you are going to be at the Animal Kingdom, I think you should take care of the nice selection of restaurants over that way, between the theme park and the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Here are the best;

    • Tusker House - Buffet in the park, really good, and conveniently located
    • Yak and Yeti - A la carte restaurant in the park, a bit more posh, with a wonderfully themed decor and very exotic meals
    • Boma - Similar buffet to the one at Tusker House (actually, Boma inspired the one at Tusker House), but in the lodge
    • Jiko - This is a 2-credit restaurant if you are on the dining plan, but perhaps one of the 2-3 best restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. Amazing food, and a great South African wine selection.
    With Boma and Jiko you get to go visit the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which is a great place to explore.

    FYI, check your resort for "bounce-back" offers. Those are the EXTREMELY GOOD deals that they offer while you are there to book the next vacation at Walt Disney World. You can rarely beat these deals! Ask at your resort desk if you don't see one! (PS: You must book while there!)

    Have a magical vacation!
