Doug, Thnx for all your help! If I'm going to be in Disney for about 3 wks for wedding and honeymoon, do you think there will be enough space in a value room for our luggage and my dress? any ideas of what to do with the dress otherwise?

    Samantha,

I think you will be fine keeping all your baggage in the room, even for 3 weeks. It is true that a Value resort room doesn't have as much spare space as a Moderate or Deluxe, but you still have a decent sized room. Now if you are going to be there for 3 weeks with three other roommates, that might get a bit too close for comfort for a soon-to-be-bride. Otherwise you should be fine.

If you are going to have your dress in the room, however, I would make sure that it is going to be in a completely secure and waterproof protective cover. I say this because the closet area is open and exposed to the bathroom sink. It is hardly close quarters, but I would hate to have a minor accident ruin such an important "outfit"!

As to where you could otherwise keep the dress, check with the Disney Wedding planning group.  They might have facilities to hold the dress for you. I would not leave it with the hotel itself. While they do a perfectly fine job with baggage, I doubt they are adequately prepared for such a dress.

    Have a magical wedding!
