Doug, thks, dont know what I would do without this panel. Staying at Pop. Your reply makes sense to me. Can you swim that time of year? Not too cold? Would Chef Mickeys be a good choice, ease of using Disney transport first time and fun for my grd's? Thks

    Hazel,

So swimming in December is a bit of a hit-or-miss proposition. I was there in the first week of December 2008, and the weather was PERFECT for swimming. But the Disney Moms Panel training last year at the same time was rainy, overcast, and a bit chilly. Either way the pools are heated, and with average Orlando high temperatures of 73 degrees (23 degrees Celsius) as per the National Weather Service, you stand a chance of getting a least a day or two of good swimming weather.

Chef Mickey's is a great choice for that first meal, because you can use transportation to and from your resort to the Magic Kingdom. This is better than the resort-to-Downtown Disney-to-resort method that you would typically have to do.

By the way, you will love Pop Century! Fun atmosphere and great central location!

    Have a magical vacation!
